Van Dyke originally appeared in the 1964 movie Mary Poppins that starred Julie Andrews and again in the recently released Mary Poppins Returns movie that stars British actress Emily Blunt.
Since he has a career that spans 7 decades, it’s not surprising that he’s accumulated much wealth that he can easily afford such luxuries like this former Encino home of his. The palatial estate’s main house is 12,015 square feet big, has 3 bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, a home theater, an elevator, a pool, and a wine cellar. The 4,569 square-foot home was bought by the famous quarterback for $2.7 million, and after a massive renovation, he listed it at $3.075 million. But the most impressive feature of the house is its intelligent lighting, all thanks to John, who seems to be a fan of the latest home decor technology. With 17,000 square feet of living area at the owner’s disposal, this isn’t just your average family home. The duplex, smack in the middle of upmarket TriBeCa, has show-stopping features like a wrought iron spiral staircase connecting its two floors and a massive private patio.

While almost any Manhattan real estate is a good investment, Knightley especially lucked out, selling the three-bedroom home for $6 million in 2017. The new buyers might want to protect their acquisition with home insurance, considering the damaging hurricanes that have hit this low-lying neighborhood in recent years.

So much so that actor Jamie Dornan has moved out of sleepy Gloucester, England with his family, and splurged on a 2,510-square-foot mansion in Hollywood Hills.

The $2.843-million estate is truly up to Christian Grey standards with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a modern atrium with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open directly to a massive pool, an open patio, a spa, and a fire pit. But considering that he’s moving in with his wife and two kids, we can safely guess that there’s no “red room of pain” anywhere on the property.
DJ Khaled: ~ $10 Million, Beverly Hills
When he’s not investing hours in his entertaining Snapchat presence, producer and radio personality DJ Khaled apparently has a taste for real estate. The music mogul’s massive earnings landed him this $10 million home in Beverly Hills; the 10,600-square-foot property, which formerly belonged to singer Robbie Williams, has a pool, a spacious patio and servants’ quarters.

Taylor Swift: ~ $17 Million, Rhode Island
Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has come a long way from her native Reading, Pennsylvania. Swift moved to Nashville at age 14 to pursue a career in country music and since then, her musical credentials (along with her bank account) have grown considerably.

The massive house has eight bedrooms and fireplaces and has served as the site of Swift’s now-famous Fourth of July parties. Can we come next year?
Jeff Franklin: ~ $4 Million, San Francisco
The 90’s show Full House is producer Jeff Franklin’s most famous creation yet, so it, indeed, no surprise that he is quite attached to it after all these years. So much so, in fact, that he had since bought the iconic Tanner house in San Francisco where much of the show was filmed.

He even went so far as to restore it to its former primetime glory, featuring the iconic red door and attractive blue house that fans of the show know and love. And at $4 million, it really is not a bad price for prime San Francisco real estate.
Anna Kendrick: ~$1 million, California
Pitch Perfect star Anna Kendrick is doing very well for herself, but she chose to keep her living arrangements low-key with this California home. At only $1 million, it is considered modest by Hollywood standards, which is in keeping with the actress’ no-nonsense attitude.

It’s a great way to keep her homeowners insurance premiums low, as well. Still, it has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, so that’s enough space to keep a young actress comfortable.
Jensen Ackles: ~ $5.5 Million, Austin
We all know Jensen Ackles for his beloved character Dean Winchester in the long-running TV series Supernatural. He was also part of the cast of Smallville, Dawson’s Creek, Days of Our Lives, and many more. Despite not being particularly active on screen lately, Jensen’s television payroll has been more than enough to keep him and his beautiful family comfortable.

A true California girl, pop star Katy Perry has put down real estate roots in Los Angeles with this distinctive Mediterranean mansion. The 4-bedroom house was built in 1954 and is nestled in the posh Beverly Hills enclave of Outpost Estates.

And although its 7,500 square feet provide more than enough space for Perry and her cat Kitty Purry, it’s only one of two houses on a larger lot. Katy listed it for $9.5 million in September 2017, so if she sells it, she can always move into the more modern mansion next door.

She picked up this 10,000-square-foot property in 2015 and has entertained family and friends with its amenities like a pool, a tennis court, and a home theater. This purchase may just have been a short-term investment, though, as Gomez listed it for $3 million in 2017. Hopefully, she’ll make enough from the sale to finance a mortgage on a new place in Los Angeles.
Michael Phelps: ~ $2.5 Million, Scottsdale
Thanks to his career earnings and product endorsements, swimmer Michael Phelps has some serious buying power. In 2016, the record-breaking Olympian spend some of his money on a 6,000-square-foot home in affluent Scottsdale, Arizona.

Simon Cowell: ~ $15.5 Million, Beverly Hills
Former American Idol judge and reality TV producer Simon Cowell had to convert his long held bachelor pad into a family home when his long-term partner and her kids joined them.

Her purchase of a $2.8-million mansion in Chicago actually seems like peanuts, compared to what she can actually afford. She has recently put her Bel-Air mansion on the market for $12 million as the couple plans to settle in San Francisco. Despite the hefty price tag and corresponding home insurance premium, it is actually quite a steal as it is a true work of art with 6,101 square feet of space.

Rob Lowe: ~ $42 Million, Santa Barbara
With an acting career and earnings spanning 3 decades, Rob Lowe has the luxury of going shopping for houses like some of us go shopping for sneakers. The most impressive property in Lowe’s real estate portfolio is this stately mansion in upscale Santa Barbara.

Purchased for $42 million, the Georgian-style home has a wrap-around veranda and of course, a pool. Fortunately, Lowe’s house was spared in the 2018 mudslides that wrecked many other properties in the area (including Oprah’s estate); nevertheless, we hope Lowe has top-notch house insurance to protect himself against any future natural disasters.

Inside, its most stunning features are a floating staircase and a massive wooden bookshelf that serves as a divider between the living and game rooms.

The Outdoors is no less spectacular with an infinity pool, sunken fire pit, and spa. Jeremy likely did not need credit repair to purchase this property. However, with the accusations of inappropriate behavior linked to his name of late, he may need reputation repair instead.
